Tory Taylor Tompkins

About: Tory Taylor Tompkins

Soaring passionate vocals and catchy melodies are signatures of Houston based singer/songwriter Tory Tompkins. The singer, guitarist, and pianist is known for her surprisingly mature musicianship and seamless merging of Americana, Country, and Southern Rock genres. She performed her debut album “Somewhere Good” to a sold out crowd at Austin’s legendary music venue Momo’s. Following the album release the young singer focused on acoustic music, playing a series of solo shows across the nation. Some of her favorite venues to date are Austin’s Saxon Pub, Houston’s Cellar Door, Nashville’s The Commodore, and Room 5 in Los Angeles. Tory has garnered international attention from the online community with hundreds of thousands of views on her Youtube videos.

The captivating 5’9’’ entertainer is also highly sought after for corporate and private performances. In April 2012 The Houston Chronicle wrote about her dynamic showcase at the Offshore Technology Conference, where she played in front of over eighty-five thousand attendees. Tory’s latest album, recorded at Austin’s 501 Studios, is an acoustic album recorded to showcase her soulful vocals and developed guitar style. This intimate record will be available Fall 2012.
