Yuri Gagarin are a Progressive, Psychedelic Rock band from
Gothenburg Sweden that formed in 2012. The bands music blends several genres
into one driving force that has garnered them a wide fan appeal across the
shoegaze, psychedelic rock, progressive rock and heavy rock circles.
Their self titled debut album “Yuri Gagarin” was released in
2013 and received high praise by their fans. September 25th, 2015
saw the release of a two song EP titled “Sea of Dust” and it didn’t disappoint
either, as their fans have heaped much praise on this solid emerging band from
Northern Europe.
Yuri Gagarin’s music will remind seasoned fans of the 70’s
iconic trend-setting group “Hawkwind” with their space driving progressive
psychedelic driving sounds. Have a listen and catch the wave!
Lights That Change is an alternative Dream Pop ethereal wave
outfit, hailing from North Wales and headed by Marc Joy. After many years
producing other artists, he finally turned his attention towards his own
creative endeavours. Thus was born “Lights That Change”, channelling new
energies into creating horizons of perfect dreamscapes, primarily based on
guitars.
Lights That Change released their debut EP ‘Rainbow On Your
Shoulder’ in 2013, followed by ‘Whispers in February’ and have received support
from BBC, Tom Robinson, and Amazing Radio, among others.
Over the past year, Lights That Change have undergone a
reformation, with Mandy Clare on vocals, John Bryan on bass and Marc Joy on
guitars. They are now gearing up to release their debut LP ‘Byzantium’ this
summer, which includes guest vocals from Rebecca Palin (Golden Fable) and drum
programming from Mal Holmes (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark).
“I’m extremely happy to be involved in Lights That Change,”
says Mal Holmes. “This has given me the freedom to create something special for
‘Voices’ and the new album doing what I love to do … this is why I started
playing drums in the first place”.
We proudly present the first single from this forthcoming
album, entitled ‘Voices’, chalked full of ethereal wave post-punk magic
reminiscent of 4AD’s golden era. Here Mandy Clare lays mesmerizing vocals over
a bed of drifting, powerfully moving soundscapes. Lights That Change will also
be bringing their new permanent lineup to U.K. live audiences soon.

Ali Suhail is a singer, songwriter, musician from Karachi
Pakistan who has been creating music since he was a teenager. Learning from The
Beatles, The Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie, Freelance Whales, Pomplamoose
and many others, Ali has crafted his own unique style by combining his impressions
and life experiences into music.
Ali’s music can be described in general as Indie Pop / Folk,
but it also covers a broad range of genres that weaves its way effortlessly
into more progressive and psychedelic blends.
Ali has released 2 albums, “Words from Boxes” (2013), and
“Journal Entries” (2014) and also released two EP’s “Desolve” and “Defragment”
in 2015.

Stonecraft is Andy Morgan, and Viil Fjose, a Celtic music
duo who blend flavours from Welsh and Irish music, combined with their own
original compositions to create a compelling and unique fusion that leans
towards a progressive acoustic folk.
The duo have four releases, “The Call” – 2008, “Moving
Tides” – 2010, “Behind the Door” - 2013, and their latest, an EP “The Quiet
Truth” in March 2015.
Race to the Sea is the musical guise of Dan Peacock,
Manchester-based songwriter and instrumentalist.
The project began a few years ago as a full band of the same
name, with Peacock providing the song writing, vocals and guitar for a series
of acclaimed gigs on the Manchester circuit. When the band split, he took off
on a trip across the world, seeking adventure and unwittingly gathering
material for the next project. Living in a seaside house on the other side of
the world, he found a guitar and began writing what would become the new songs
for the new Race to the Sea. These songs are abstract yet personal, with ideas
taken from snapshots of a life on the move, and both lyrics and melodies crafted
from half-remembered images: memories of the sea, the desert, the forest and
the mountains.
In the studio, Race to the Sea’s songs are heavily layered
and atmospheric, with textured guitars, synths and percussion. Live shows range
from stripped-back acoustic guitar versions, to looped and effected
orchestrations, and, more recently, the inclusion of full live percussion and
bass.
2013 was a year packed with local headline gigs: supports
for Badly Drawn Boy, The Magic Numbers, Mark Morriss and Rebekka Karijord, and
a sold-out EP launch at the Castle Hotel. All this led Manchester Evening News
to name Race to the Sea as 'One to watch'. Here's what they said:
'Race to the Sea's talent for delicate folk song craft is
equally matched by his grasp of experimental, shoegazey atmospherics. With his
soulful, breathy vocals, quietly strummed acoustics and judicious use of
effects pedals, he’s a one-man indie-folk orchestra, creating music of
considerable shape and texture, but with an intimacy and emotional heft that
sometimes feels like he’s singing directly into your ear. The missing link
between Lost Souls-era Doves, Nick Drake and Cocteau Twins; you don’t so much
listen to these songs as allow them to soak blissfully into your synapses.
Ending Satellites is a project that is both musical and
visual, whose main ambition is to offer to who may wish to undertake, a journey
out of time, within a few moments, in a universe where images become melodies.
At the same time, Ending Satellites is an eclectic artistic
entity, evolving around the compositions and shots of Damien Dufour, but also
shaped by the different personalities that come together in this project.

Chris Stoddard and Samantha Ritter continue to impress with
their second release “Glimmer Down”. The 7 song album continues the Dream Pop
journey with a shoegaze / progressive blend of vocals and sound which captures
the imagination from the very first song on the album “Fine Machine”.

The Dogon Lights combine a blend of styles that is fresh and
instantly recognizable. A blend of languages (Spanish, English, French, Wolof,
Bambara etc) and instruments such as the Sintir and Guimbri from Morocco, the
Kamale Ngoni, (similar to the Kora) from Mali and Burkina Faso, Calabash and
Djembe of West Africa, with Electric Bass, Guitar, Synthesizer and Drums.The word, "Dogon" comes from the
Dogon people of Mali who believe they are from "the dog star" or
Sirius.The Dogon Lights have opened up
for grammy winning artists Tinariwen from Mali as well as Bombino from Niger.
Members have Performed with Bassnectar, Beats Antique, Rising Appalachia, The
Mickey Hart Band, Hamsa Lila, Dirtwire and many others.
Hailing fromGuadalajara, Mexico, “Has a Shadow” are a progressive psychedelic band
that take you on a musical trip away from reality into an alternative state of
mind. Their debut album “Sky is Hell Black” was released on November 12th,
2013 on Captcha Records to rave reviews by the alternative music industry and
fans alike.
“Sky is Hell Black” hits you with a wall of sound that
emanates from the darkest corners of the Mexican interior. Listening to this
album is like being shrouded in a veil of fog at the moment a massive storm
takes over a barren metropolis. The experience of drone gets charged with
anticipation when you realize that the storm is about to hit.
The album was recorded through the winter of 2012 in Mexico City, in a house
where Remi used to live as a child. Alberto Gonzalez (Beto or “The Obsolete”
from Mexican psych duo Lorelle Meets the Obsolete) was responsible for
recording and mixing. The band then completed their first tour of the US west
coast and will do so again in 2014.
Victor “Remi” Garay plays the bass, Rodolfo Samperio plays guitar, and Daniel
Garciano plays guitar and electric organ in addition to providing the vocals.
The Obsolete plays drums for the album and contributed guitar tracks to some of
the songs.
They have hooked up with Captcha Records, “one of the finest experimental /
psych labels around” according to Weed Temple. Captcha has brought you the
debut records of Lorelle Meets the Obsolete, onYou, GA’AN, and Dreamsalon in
addition to working with Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, Phil Cohran and Eddy Current
Suppression Ring.
In May 2014, “Has a Shadow” released a 2 song EP titled
“Hollow Curve” which continues their foggy dream like psychedelic music style
into the future.
Trappist Afterland was formed in 2010 and is a Psychedelic
folk project fueled by the religious ruminations of songwriter and multi
instrumentalist Adam Cole(oud, guitar, Lute, tanpura Bodhran, Vocals). The Band
also features Phil Coyle(Tabla, Frame Drum, vocals) Nicholas Albanis (Bell
Citern, Hammered Dulcimer, Bowed Psaltery) and Lachie Henderson (Acoustic
Guitar)
Trappist Afterland Have released 5 Albums one of which
"Like a beehive, the Hill was Alive" was digitally released through
New Zealand based label The Active Listener to Rave Reviews.
Trappist Afterland's latest Album "Afterlander"
was released through UK label Sunstone records in July 2015. The Band then
embarked on tour across the UK and Europe in support of the new release.
Trappist have also played in New York and a myriad of venues around Australia.
There are also plans to release a split 12 inch Vinyl with
US Acid folk Pioneers Stone Breath through American Label Follyphone Records in
October 2015.
Adam Cole also played on Belgium Producer and multi
instrumentalist Will Z's latest album alongside Daevid Allen of Gong and Folk
Cult Legends Book of Am.
Although the influence of folk music from various sectors
around the world can be heard in Trappist Afterland's music (The British folk
revival, 70's acid folk, Gamelan music, Middle Eastern music, Indian raga) they
still maintain a unique and almost otherworldly quality, that sounds unlike
anyone else.
With lyrical explorations delving into Gnosticism,
Christian mysticism and other esoteric themes, Trappist still manage to keep
their music firmly grounded in the present while maintaining a timeless
quality.
Arresting,
soulful and raw in its execution, Second Hand Heart's album “Tides” is a
self-assured debut release where melodies sprout from a nocturnal mood with a
disarming intensity. A collection of neo-folk compositions, Tides speaks of
longing, truth and courage.

Following the
release and sell-out launch of band’s first EP in 2011, Second Hand Heart tested
the waters recording catchy alt-pop song ‘Trouble’, in a makeshift studio in
Balwyn in 2012. “Our perspective changed over time… in the beginning we started
to mix with crisp and polished production in mind. As we got deeper into the
recording process, we realised that we wanted to capture the feeling with all
it’s organic faults and flaws” says guitarist John Waller.
Tides fuses
intricate instrumentation with splashes of delay and washes of cymbals. In 2013
Second Hand Heart reached a new level of musical maturity when they arranged
their live set to be played with a string quintet made up of players from the
Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) curated for Melbourne Music Week.
As a band, Second

Since inception, Melbourne’s Second Hand Heart has worked
hard to be everywhere at once. Earning comparisons to Big Scary and Sarah
