Haun’s Mill

About: Haun’s Mill

Hard times and tunes of days gone by (economic woes, unions, exodus, murder, influenza). Indie Folk/ Americana music with turn-of-the century costumes & film projection.

Haun's Mill combines folk, spaghetti western, and classic country into a sound distinctly their own. Their live performances are coupled with period movie projections, resulting in a powerful presentation of sights and sounds. Described as haunted saloon music, Haun's Mill has found a home in Austin's quirky environment since moving there in late 2010. Since their relocation, the five piece band holds residency at the swanky 1920's themed East Side Showroom and has played local clubs and festivals including Swan Dive, Continental Club, Art Outside, Pecan Street Festival, Parish, Club DeVille and Momo's.

Songwriters and bandleaders Eliza Wren (Austin's own revered songbird) and Nord Anderson (Salt Lake City) joined forces after meeting at college in 2005.  Initially a duo, their first gig was opening for a sold out Monkey Grinder Halloween Bash at Velour in Provo, UT.  The great reception prompted expansion to a full band with Mike Crandall, B.B. Melanson and Anthony Phan (double bass, drums and trumpet) and their first self titled album, released in January 2010.  After Eliza and Nord moved to Austin, they added current members Keith Palumbo (drums), and Courtney Jackson (double bass).  The band completed their second album “Away” at Public Hi-Fi Studio in Austin, in the Spring of 2012.

The Dirt Daubers

About: The Dirt Daubers

The Dirt Daubers have come down from the mountains and landed squarely in the middle of the Mississippi Delta. Yes, you heard right... J.D. Wilkes (of the Legendary Shack Shakers) and his former Old-Time band have decided to plug in (!) to both his blues roots and a regulation, A.C. power socket.

Having recently added electric guitar and drums, the Dirt Daubers are now poised to expand the appeal of their roots-based tunes with a whole new Swamp-Blues/Rock n Roll kick!

But for those missing the old, acoustic sound, an unplugged version of the new band is available for booking too.

Old Crow Medicine Show

About: Old Crow Medicine Show

Old Crow Medicine Show got its' start busking on street corners in New York state and up through Canada, winning audiences along the way with their boundless energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone, North Carolina where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He immediately invited the band to play at his MerleFest, helping to launch their career. Shortly thereafter the band relocated to Nashville for a residency at the Grand Ole Opry, where they entertained the crowd between shows.

It's been nearly fifteen years since these humble beginnings, and the band has gone on to tour the world, sell over 800,000 albums, become frequent guests on A Prairie Home Companion, and play renowned festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella, and the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. In May of 2013 Old Crow's classic single, "Wagon Wheel", received the RIAA's Platinum certification for selling over 1,000,000 copies.

In 2011 Old Crow found themselves embarking on the historic Railroad Revival Tour with Mumford and Sons, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. This tour had the bands riding a vintage train from California to New Orleans, playing shows along the way. The magic of this musical excursion across America's vast landscape is captured in the Emmet Malloy directed documentary, Big Easy Express. In 2013 Old Crow Medicine Show, along with Mumford & Sons and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, won the Grammy Award for "Best Long Form Music Video" for the film.

Old Crow Medicine Show now have four studio albums to their name, three of which were released by Nettwerk Records - O.C.M.S and Big Iron World produced by David Rawlings, and Tennessee Pusher produced by Don Was. On their newest album, Carry Me Back, Old Crow continue to craft classic American roots music while pushing themselves in new directions. Carry Me Back, released by ATO Records and produced by Ted Hutt, represents a new stretch of road in the timeless journey of a rambling string band.
